Construction of Airport Traffic Control Tower with 17,000 square meter covered area within Burç-Enka joint venture as the main subcontractor.

 Scope of Work

Air Traffic Control Room is located on the 12th floor of 12 storey tower building. Top 6 floors of the building were assigned to the air traffic control systems. AZANS received a loan from IBRD for construction of the ATC tower. Construction of the Tower started on 15 April 1999 and completed on 1 August 1999. The design based on the design criteria set by IBRD & AZANS then the demolishing work is done as required. Basically the main steel structure of the existing building was kept and all other walls and partitions were demolished. Eren has completed the design, material supply, and installation of civil, structural, electrical and mechanical work in accordance with the international standards. Total covered area under this project was 6,000 m2.

ATC visual inspection room complete with steel structure and glazing was manufactured in Turkey. It was transported by trucks and installed on top of the existing tower building. Work carried out for floors 6-11 of the ATC Tower was very similar to the work carried out in the terminal building, which has been explained above.
